Nurtan is a Principal of Optimus Advice and a Non-Executive Director with over twenty years’ experience leading enterprise-wide transformation across complex multinational organisations. She has held senior leadership roles at Accenture, Deloitte, and The Hackett Group, where she has designed, governed, and delivered large-scale transformation programmes across multiple industries.

Her work operates at the intersection of strategy and execution, ensuring that strategic intent is translated into measurable operational outcomes. She has led more than thirty programmes across five continents, advising CFOs on transformation strategy, post-merger integration, and operating model design. Her focus on governance and control enables organisations to sustain performance through periods of structural change, particularly where scale and complexity constrain delivery effectiveness.

Her expertise lies in the design of next-generation finance operating models, integrating AI and emerging technologies to enable digitally driven transformation across complex enterprise environments. She is recognised for embedding the discipline and governance required to deliver quantifiable efficiency gains, including significant automation-led improvements. She consistently translates complex transformation agendas into structured, executable programmes that align stakeholders and convert strategic ambition into resilient operating models.

She authored The Perpetual Flywheel: The Architecture of Endurance, a governance-led framework for designing operating models that maintain performance. This methodology enables leaders to build self-sustaining structures.

Before entering management consulting, she held executive leadership positions within the global agribusiness sector for more than eighteen years. Having navigated the structural challenges of large-scale organisations from the inside, she possesses a proven capability to design solutions that are both visionary and grounded in operational reality.

Cynthia has extensive experience leading global projects and complex transformation initiatives that require a sophisticated understanding of international trade and commodity ecosystems. Her background in the grain trading business affords her a comprehensive perspective on the risk and control aspects of the sector, allowing her to navigate the nuances of global trade with precision.
This industry-specific insight is vital for organisations operating in volatile markets, where she provides a steady hand in designing frameworks that balance aggressive growth with rigorous risk mitigation and compliance.
Over the course of her career, she has developed profound expertise across Finance and Planning, with a focus on operational control, risk management, and corporate strategy. Her remit has spanned local, regional, and global responsibilities, ensuring a holistic understanding of how transformation impacts every level of an enterprise.
